Ok I get these suckers all the time I HATE them, and theyve gotten bad, but i always fixx them myself! Get a tiny bit of toilet paper/cottons ball and stick it in the side of your toenail (between your nail and skin) with tweezers. doesnt hurt at all. then take that out after like a day and what it does is move your skin a little away from your nail so you can see whats going on and see what your doing. then get tweezers and just try to cut your nail on the side and get in there and grab it. youd dont have to go through much pain at all. just however much you're willing to go through- which is almost none for me haha. and so just be patient and try to cut your tonail down that corner. see if you can see the little piece thats ingrowing and grab it. watch how its growing back. if you think its ingrowing again or something, put a little cotton/ toilet paper under it to prevent that.
you'll be fine!
hope i helped!! xx and while you're in this pain, WEAR FLIPFLOPS! and soaking it is good too...My ingrowing toe nail!!!?
I don't know if this will work for you, but it works for me!! Yes, your toe is infected. It is painful. Trust me babe, I've had them, and i get them. Been there, done that, don't wanna go back. Anyways, the reason why your toe is really big, and fat, is because the fatness in your toe is puss. You have to push your finger on that fat part, and then it will get the puss out. It is painful, but it works. Another thing to help get all the germs out of it, is get so hydrogen Peroxide. Pour a little bit on the infected toe, and then it will start bubbling. The bubbles will look white, and it will be all natural. It doesn't sting. That will help get the germs out.I hope this works for you and good luck!! Bye!
When I used to get them my dad would sit me down on the counter and he would take his pocket knife (or something with a point) and run it down the ide of my nail and then get the knife up under the nail under the skin and pull it out.. it is very painful but its the only way. I have had them for years now and they always return so i stopped pulling them out, i am now going to get them permanently removed at the foot doctors.
Sounds like you need to see a doctor about getting on some antibiotics. In the mean time take motrin for pain, soak in hydrogen peroxide, and then get a triple antibiotic ointment and a bandage it fast. Change the bandage ever 4-6 hours with a nice new dose of ointment. Good Luck and if you have a streak of red coming from it get to ER fast you have a life threatening case of blood poisoning.
Soak your toe in warm epsom salt water 2x aday for 15 minutes.
If you see no improvement in 2 days, then see a doctor.
