well, her one nail, the blood inside it was unusually dark...and edgeing of her skin(where the skin and nail meet) was unusually dark too...then next i knew when i looked at her again...there was blood..not alot...
can u please tell what would help her? how to stop it??what possibly caused it?....i can't drive and no one here at the moment can drive either so i can't go to the store.
she acting just fine and didn't flinch when i touched her or the area where the blood came from.My guinea pig's' toe/nail is bleeding!!?
sounds like a bruise. it might heal up by itself but keep checking it for infections. always make sure it's keeping clean. change her bedding often. My guinea pig's' toe/nail is bleeding!!?
um if u cut his nails then maybe u cut it too short
hm? idk when it turns into a skap dont let her eat it okay? nd like maybe u should take a cotton ball and dab it on the nail to see how much its bleeding u should wrap it up a little bit with a paper towel likee rip a little peice of and sort of put it on its nail
If she broke a nail it is no big deal(so long as the bleeding is quickly controlled). Animal have a vein in their nails that bleed if broken. Use flour(from the kitchen), take a handful and press her foot into the flour. The flour will block the vein and the bleeding will stop. You may need to cover the nail with flour two or three times to stop it(as the first time the blood may soak into the flour)
Well you can always call a mobile vet and have them come to you!
Or call a taxi and take her to the vet.
Or call the vet's office. They may be able to tell you what to do until you can get her in.
DUH
ok i think ur guinea pig just broke a nail. the blood is from the quick inside the nail. my guinea pig did that once. i found a few small spot of blood in his cage but they were like the size of the tip of his nail. then i checked him out and saw one nail was shorter than the rest. the problem dissapered by itself. just watch her and if its still bad when someone who can drive gets home then call a vet. good luck
